Adaptive Beginner Pickleball Lessons

Join us for Adaptive Pickleball, a fun and inclusive program designed for individuals with special needs. This class offers a supportive environment where participants can learn and enjoy the game of pickleball, tailored to meet a variety of needs. Equipment will be provided.

Our adults with disabilities, adaptive programs are designed to meet the unique needs of those that are 18 years or older with special needs. These program move at a pace that is flexible in order to meet the needs of those participating in the class. We are proud to be partnering with Valley Friendship to provide an outstanding experience for all involved.

I love Pickleball; for the fun, the new friends, the active lifestyle, and the competition. Spending most of childhood on the tennis courts in Stillwater, I played competitive tennis from the age of 10 through college. Pickleball allows me to compete again; and I have the added bonus of having my sister for a doubles partner.

I started playing Pickleball 5 years ago, and now spend as much time as I can on the court. There is nothing like seeing the joy on a new player’s face when they make contact with the ball for the first time. I use a student centered approach in my teaching. I realize that people play Pickleball for many different reasons. You may be a beginner checking out the sport, newly retired looking for a new hobby, or someone working to bring your game to the next level. The sport is approachable and there is something in it for everyone.
