 itarist Alvaro Henrique draws on his doctoral research at the University of
  Minnesota to introduce audiences to rarely performed works by composers fr
 om across Brazil\, representing a wide range of regions\, cultures\, and tr
 aditions.\n\nLearn how Indigenous\, Black\, rural\, and other underrepresen
 ted communities\, along with women composers\, have shaped Brazil's vibrant
  musical heritage. Through live performance and stories behind the music\, 
 you'll gain a deeper appreciation for Brazil's history\, culture\, and musi

 ion.\n\nAbout Alvaro Henrique\n\nAlvaro Henrique is an award-winning Brazil
 ian classical guitarist who has performed in approximately 20 countries. Hi
 s recordings include Guerra-Peixe: Complete Works for Solo Guitar and Alvar
 o Henrique Plays Dilermando Reis. Through his performances and doctoral res
 earch at the University of Minnesota\, he is dedicated to showcasing the di
 versity of Brazilian music and introducing audiences to composers and tradi
 tions that are often overlooked.
